What do I need to bring when I visit your dealership?
Bringing the correct documents can dramatically speed up your purchase
process although the list of items can differ depending on your unique
credit situation:
- Driver's License
- Financial Info (to fill out credit application)
- Social Security Number
- References (6 with complete, accurate contact info, i.e. name, phone # and address)
- Proof of Employment and Salary (current paycheck stubs)
- Proof of Residence (mortgage document or rental lease agreement)
- Current Utility Bill (such as gas, electric or water)
- Down Payment
To find out exactly what to bring, call the dealership before you visit.
We'll help you pull together everything you need.
What is your credit approval process?
We need to know who you are, where you live and where you work to qualify
you to buy a vehicle from Leadership Auto Sales. The information listed
above will help verify most of this information.
Do you make a credit check?
We realize that many of our customers have experienced credit problems. Our
approval process verifies your employment, residence and income. A credit
bureau report is also one of the sources we use to review and verify your
information, including your past credit history. Our decision is based on
several factors not just your past credit history. "Our goal is to help
good people get a vehicle and rebuild their credit."
How long does it take to get approval for an on-line application?
You will receive an email confirming we have received your information.
Depending on your individual information, a follow-up email or phone call
may be required to verify your information. If you have submitted your
application during our office hours, you should have a response the same day
depending on the time of the day we received your application.
Where do I make my payments?
You can make your payments in person at Leadership Auto Sales, or if it is
after hours you can use our "night drop" located in the right front window
of our dealership. Or you can phone in your payment using a debit card or
credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover). Plus, you can now make a secure
payment right on our website.
How large of a down payment do I need?
That depends on the price of the vehicle and the amount you are approved to
finance. Our down payments start at $399 down.
What happens if I'm late or miss a payment?
We have trusted you to make your payments on time, just as you have trusted
us to sell you a good car. Missing payments or making payments late is very
serious to us and will not help you to rebuild your credit. You must contact
our collection personnel before your payment is due to discuss your
situation.
How do I know your vehicles are dependable?
First, we have our own buyers purchasing vehicles just for us, making sure
that we are receiving the best car for the money. Second, we have every
vehicle checked out by our service technician before it can be placed on our
lot. Third, we invite you to bring your mechanic or someone else you trust
to look the vehicle over for you.
What routine maintenance should be done?
You must perform routine maintenance. Most manufacturers recommend changing
the oil and filter every 3 months or 3000 miles. It is also very important
to maintain proper fluid levels (oil, coolant, transmission, power steering,
brake and windshield cleaner, etc.). Never continue to drive a vehicle that
has a warning light on or a gauge that is indicating a problem. It is
important to stop your vehicle and get help. If you continue driving the
vehicle, it will more than likely cost you a whole lot more in repairs.
Check air pressure in your tires and rotate them often to even wear. Check
with the manufacturer for more detailed information on your particular
vehicle. It really pays to take good care of your vehicle.
If I have a mechanical problem with the car can you help me with repairs?
Yes, we can. As long as you are a current customer of ours we can help. But
we do not do regular maintenance work like oil and filter changes. There are
many shops in town that can do it for you at a fair price. That way we can
be available for your more serious service problems. If you are current on
your payments and have a good pay history with us, you may, if approved, be
allowed to pay out your repairs with us if you find yourself a little short
on money for repairs. Call or ask for details.
Do you by chance have a loaner car while my car is in the shop for repairs?
Yes, we do have a couple of loaner cars that we make available to our paying
customers. We have these vehicles available on a first-come first-serve
basis. The loaner car is FREE of charge. All we ask is that you take good
care of it, keep it clean and return it with same amount of gas that it had
when you got it. You must be current and have a good pay history with us to
have access to this privilege. This privilege is reserved for our good
customers.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to call or email us. We
will be glad help you any way we can.
